MUSLIM CONFRONTS BEN CARSON OVER
HIS VIEWS ON ISLAM – HIS RESPONSE EARNS
HIM A STANDING OVATION
Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson was confronted by a Muslim at a town hall in Staten Island Monday night over his suggestion someone of his faith should not be president of the United States. Hesham El-Meligy, chairman of the Staten Island Libertarian Party, used the question and answer period to challenge the candidate on his view. “It says, ‘No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States,’” El-Meligy read, holding a pocket copy of the U.S. Constitution and citing Article 6, Section 3. Carson’s response brought the crowd of around 2,000 to their feet.
Recently Ben Carson has come out in support of the TPP. As a current supporter of Carson which is quickly fading, I am trying to put some rhyme or reason to his support of this terrible Trade Agreement.
This past June Mr. Carson had expressed “skepticism” at the TPP, stating in an interview with the Huffington Post that he would not give President Barack Obama “fast-track” authority to negotiate the deal.
Now one day after the actual text of this secretive document which is over 5K pages long is released, Carson spokesperson Doug Watts said, “Mr. Carson believes the agreement does help to level the playing field in key markets and is important to improve our ties to trading partners in Asia as a counterbalance to China’s influence in the region.” Mr. Watts said Mr. Carson is “now inclined to support TPP, with reservations.”
Mr. Carson, whether he has or has not read the TPP stating he supports it loses the support of this household. As I have previously written, this agreement is a fast track move to further “eliminate our US Sovereignty.
