MY BELIEFS
Am I a "Bible Thumper", absolutely not - but I do recognize a "blessing" when one is placed on me and believe me I have had my share. Would I ask that they stop? No! But I am thankful and I do place my Lord first - at least I try to.
God's Personality: i see HIM as loving as most parents are. I am continually amazed at how much he has tolerated, but then I see it as "learning lessons". I believe in the Trinity and that there is ONE eternal God who has no beginning or end and does exist in Three Persons: FATHER, SON & HOLY GHOST.
Bible: I believe the Bible is the one and only true place to know the true Words of God and the Prophet's. The Bible has been proven to be historically accurate and now even being proven archaeologically and scientifically.
Jesus: I do firmly believe that God came to us in flesh form as Jesus Christ, was totally sinless and born of the Virgin Mary. I also believe he suffered the torture of the Roman soldiers and died on the cross to atone for our sins even those to come, but that does not mean you will be repeatedly forgiven by repeatedly sinning. Jesus took upon himself the full weight of our sins and never did anything but love us all.
Holy Spirt: Baptism: I believe that the Holy Spirit walks beside everyone even before you are a "believer" or have accepted Jesus into your life. The Holy Spirit is that conscience you have when deciding to tell the truth or lie, deciding right from wrong and he is walking with everyone one, even non-believer's. When you go with God and have become a believer, the Holy Spirit moves "inside" of you, presenting you to the Lord.
When did this first happen? Well the Bible tells you as it does everything - Jesus had risen and Mary had gone to the grave, Jesus appeared and ask her why she was crying John 20:13 and afterwards she realized it was Jesus speaking to her. Mary ran to tell the disciples that she had seen Christ and that evening her appeared where they were gathered, and he showed them his wounds and said to them John 20:21-23, "Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so I send you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Received ye the Holy Ghost (Spirit); - at that moment the Holy Spirit entered them for eternity until the day of redemption. The believing, having accepted Christ is the breathing in so to speak and you are Born Again,
Salvation: Salvation does come by the "grace of God", not of works and you are told this in Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. I like to go further into verse 10 - For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. KJV
I believe that Christ's sacrifice was for ALL, not just some that he picks and chooses. " Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and no be afraid: for the Lord JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation." Isaiah 12:2 KJV
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Spn, that whatsoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJV
Baptism: Should come when a person is old enough to understand that he the truth faith in Jesus Christ and it should be a public declaration. Acts 10: 48, "And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days."
Born Again: I believe it is through the work of the Holy Spirit that we become renewed and fresh in Him. I know that I have always believed since a young child, but a time came in my life that I wanted to know and understand more and at the same time a "new" knowing came within me to be able to sense when what was being preached was wrong. It hurt my soul and I began to sense and feel those that were filled with evil intent. I don't see myself as a chosen one - just fully awakened.
Church: I believe that the "church" is not a "building", but the followers of Christ and His teachings. Believers do not need a multi thousand $$ building to meet in to worship and learn about our lord - we can do that in a field or someone's home. As I stated above, I abhor what I call false preachers pushing a so-called "prosperity-ministry" distorting the words of the Bible in order to get rich and make their members believe they will not get to heaven but other than "good works" and giving them hefty donations. Their words are soiled by Satan.
Prosperity Ministers/Churches: I abhor them in their false preaching and their constant drive telling their churches by constantly giving a certain amount to the church is what will get them to heaven and make them more personally profitable. The only person I ever see "profitable" in their churches are the ministers. Just how does a minister come up with an amount like $130, $333, or Miracle Water will get you to heaven.
Christ's Return: I believe that Christ will return at his chosen time to establish his kingdom for the purpose of accomplishing God's eternal plans. Thessalonians 4: 13-17 Looking forward to the "blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviou; Jesus Christ." Titus 2: 13
