America's Sheriff's Tell Us to Protect Our
Gun Rights To Protect Our Families!

A New York Sheriff’s post on social media about firearms in light of the San Bernardino mass shooting is drawing mixed reactions as the country continues to remain divided over gun legislation.
Ulster County Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum took to Facebook on Thursday to encourage carry permit-holding residents from the area to exercise their second amendment right to carry a firearm.
“In light of recent events that have occurred in the United States and around the world I want to encourage citizens of Ulster County who are licensed to carry a firearm to PLEASE DO SO,” the sheriff wrote.
“I urge you to responsibly take advantage of your legal right to carry a firearm. To ensure the safety of yourself and others, make sure you are comfortable and proficient with your weapon, and knowledgeable of the laws in New York State with regards to carrying a weapon and when it is legal to use it,” the post continued. Florida Sheriff Supports Open Carry - Sheriff Frank Mckeithen of Bay County, Florida, has come out in favor of open carry and the Second Amendment, and against the way in which the Florida Sheriffs’ Association conducted a vote to lobby against the open carry bill. The vote has been represented in the media as a “secret vote”. The accepted definition of a secret ballot is one in which the identities of the voters are kept secret from the people who count the votes. That way, reprisals against people who vote for or against a particular measure or person are prevented, and people have less to worry about votes being bought by those in power. Secret ballots are generally eschewed in legislatures, because it is expected that legislatures *will* be held accountable by the electorate.
"The Dick Act of 1902"

The Dick Act of 1902 also known as the Efficiency of Militia Bill H.R. 11654, of June 28, 1902 invalidates all so-called gun-control laws. It also divides the militia into three distinct and separate entities.
The three classes H.R. 11654 provides for are the organized militia, henceforth known as the National Guard of the State, Territory and District of Columbia, the unorganized militia and the regular army. The militia encompasses every able-bodied male between the ages of 18 and 45. All members of the unorganized militia have the absolute personal right and 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms of any type, and as many as they can afford to buy.
The Dick Act of 1902 cannot be repealed; to do so would violate bills of attainder and ex post facto laws which would be yet another gross violation of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The President of the United States has zero authority without violating the Constitution to call the National Guard to serve outside of their State borders.
The National Guard Militia can only be required by the National Government for limited purposes specified in the Constitution (to uphold the laws of the Union; to suppress insurrection and repel invasion). These are the only purposes for which the General Government can call upon the National Guard. Attorney General Wickersham advised President Taft, "the Organized Militia (the National Guard) can not be employed for offensive warfare outside the limits of the United States."
The Honorable William Gordon, in a speech to the House on Thursday, October 4, 1917, proved that the action of President Wilson in ordering the Organized Militia (the National Guard) to fight a war in Europe was so blatantly unconstitutional that he felt Wilson ought to have been impeached.
During the war with England an attempt was made by Congress to pass a bill authorizing the president to draft 100,000 men between the ages of 18 and 45 to invade enemy territory, Canada. The bill was defeated in the House by Daniel Webster on the precise point that Congress had no such power over the militia as to authorize it to empower the President to draft them into the regular army and send them out of the country.
The fact is that the President has no constitutional right, under any circumstances, to draft men from the militia to fight outside the borders of the USA, and not even beyond the borders of their respective states. Today, we have a constitutional LAW which still stands in waiting for the legislators to obey the Constitution which they swore an oath to uphold.
Charles Hughes of the American Bar Association (ABA) made a speech which is contained in the Appendix to Congressional Record, House, September 10, 1917, pages 6836-6840 which states: "The militia, within the meaning of these provisions of the Constitution is distinct from the Army of the United States." In these pages we also find a statement made by Daniel Webster, "that the great principle of the Constitution on that subject is that the militia is the militia of the States and of the General Government; and thus being the militia of the States, there is no part of the Constitution worded with greater care and with more scrupulous jealousy than that which grants and limits the power of Congress over it."
"This limitation upon the power to raise and support armies clearly establishes the intent and purpose of the framers of the Constitution to limit the power to raise and maintain a standing army to voluntary enlistment, because if the unlimited power to draft and conscript was intended to be conferred, it would have been a useless and puerile thing to limit the use of money for that purpose. Conscripted armies can be paid, but they are not required to be, and if it had been intended to confer the extraordinary power to draft the bodies of citizens and send them out of the country in direct conflict with the limitation upon the use of the militia imposed by the same section and article, certainly some restriction or limitation would have been imposed to restrain the unlimited use of such power."

DC Police Chief Supports Strict Gun Control but says Only Way to Stop Mass Shooters is for Private Citizens to Shoot Back!
ne wonders of DC Police Chief Cathy Lanier is beginning to wake up to reality. During an interview with Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes, Lanier said that she believes that people who find themselves in an active shooter situation, should do whatever they can to attempt to restrain or even kill the shooter.
"Your options are run, hide or fight," Lanier said. "If you're in a position to try and take the gunman down, to take the gunman out, it's the best option for saving lives before police get there."
While this is an about face to what police normally tell you, Lanier believe that has all changed with the rise in deadly shootings "I don't think you're going to stop the shootings. I think a person who's committed to carrying out an act of violence like this is going to carry that act out. How successful they are and how many people they kill, we can try to intervene on," she said.
That's right, you aren't, but neither are you going to prevent people who are hell bent on obtaining a gun to commit a crime either, but DC and Lanier continue to push their unconstitutional gun control, which is in clear violation of the Second Amendment.
Five to seven minutes is the normal response time of even America's best police departments. By that time, if you have an active shooter, a lot of damage can be done and lives lost.
It was Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke who spoke out a couple of years ago and encouraged people to arm themselves. "You have a duty to protect yourself and your family," Clarke told the people of his county.
So, why the turn around by Lanier? Possibly it is due to the fact that the Islamic State has set its sights on the Capitol. READ MORE:

Hypocrisy: California Lt. Governor wants to Lead
Fight against Gun Ownership – Surrounds Himself
with Armed Security Paid with Tax Dollars
So it's ok for him to protect himself against whatever, but NOT the American people?
It's amazing how elitist mindsets grow in people's heads once they get into an office that is supposed to be an office of public service, not rule. Take California Lt. Governor Gavin Newsom (D) who is setting up to attack the rights of gun owners while spending millions of taxpayer dollars on armed security for himself.
Newsom, who was the former mayor of San Francisco from 2004 to 2011, spent millions on armed security, which came from taxpayers via city funds.
How much does it cost to protect the mayor of a major metropolitan city? In Los Angeles, about $450,000 a year. In Houston, about $339,00 [sic] a year. In San Francisco, anywhere between $1 and $72 million.
SF Appeal revealed today the budget for Newsom's personal police bodyguards comes out of the San Francisco Police Department's Investigations Detail, which boasts a $72.9 million budget.
SFPD officials have pushed back, saying that publicizing the costs could jeopardize [sic] the Newsom's security. Assistant Chief Jim Lynch went as far as to allude to past City Hall security breaches, such as the assassinations of Supervisor Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone in 1978, as reasons for the secrecy. Meantime, Newsom's office insists SFPD makes all the decisions on his security detail. READ MORE:

Colorado Sheriffs Refuse To Enforce Dysfunctional New Gun Laws

Colorado has been the epicenter for the renewed debate over the Second Amendment since the tragic shootings at Arapahoe High School and Aurora. The recall of State Sens. John Morse and Angela Giron last September for their support of Gov. Hickenlooper's new gun control laws was a punch to the gut to the anti-gun left. But, this debate just had a new sheriff arrive in town - literally.
Sheriff John Cooke of Weld County, Colorado says that enforcement of his state's new gun laws that went into effect on July 1 won't be a priority. Why? The parameters are beyond vague - and he says they violate the Second Amendment, according to the New York Times article published yesterday.

Sheriff Nick Finch Acquitted, Immediately Reinstated by Governor October 31, 2013
Justice has been served.
Minutes after noon on Thursday, October 31, an eight-person jury acquitted Sheriff Nick Finch of both charges against him. Finch, the sheriff of Liberty County, Florida, was accused of official misconduct and falsifying records. Finch maintained that he was simply standing up for the right of the people to keep and bear arms as protected by the Second Amendment.
The jury agreed, reaching its verdict in fewer than 90 minutes. Within minutes of being found not guilty, Sheriff Finch spoke with Governor Rick Scott, who reinstated Finch within hours.
“Sheriff Nick Finch will be reinstated immediately," said Governor Scott in a written statement. "I would like to thank the members of the jury in Liberty County for their service in this trial. I would also like to thank Interim Sheriff Buddy Money for his service to the state of Florida.”
It is ironic that Scott would thank the citizens of Liberty County for their service on the jury when it was Scott’s removal of Sheriff Finch in the first place that served to effectively disenfranchise those very citizens.
The New American has followed the persecution of Sheriff Finch since it began in June, including publishing an exclusive interview with Finch days after his arrest. READ MORE

"I WON'T ENFORCE IT" Wins NY Sheriff 3rd Term
![]() Four words that he uttered at a news conference last May helped Timothy B. Howard win a third term as Erie County sheriff.
The words were “I won’t enforce it,” and Howard was talking about the SAFE Act, a controversial new state firearms law that has outraged gun owners. The support of angry firearms owners helped the Republican sheriff to a big win Tuesday over his Democratic Party opponent, retired Sheriff’s Deputy Richard E. Dobson, and Sheriff’s Lt. Bert D. Dunn, a Law and Order Party candidate who lost the Democratic nomination in the September primary. Read more |

American Gun Rights: Power To The People!

Posted on January 11, 2013 by William C. Montgomery
The Second Amendment was NOT written to enshrine every American with the right to own a gun for hunting, sport or self-defense from violent crime. These un-enumerated rights are merely incidental benefits of what the framers of the constitution originally meant. Pure and simple, the Second Amendment was intended for one thing and one thing only: power. The framers wanted citizens to have the literal firepower to reign-in their politicians and unelected bureaucrats. Our founding fathers were revolutionaries. Extremists. Radicals. Insurgents. Guerrillas . . .
They wanted private citizens to be better armed than the armed forces of the government. AND they gave citizens other tools to express themselves or reign in an unpopular government.
It is times like these, when the government we elected passes laws that empowers them to confiscate our property (new taxes) and violate our liberty (forcing citizens to buy medical insurance), gun owners need to remember that firearms are the last civic weapon drawn in dissent. READ MORE - ->

Seems Illinois Is Creating Headlong Problems For Themselves!

The President of the United States who wants to remove the Second Amendment rights of all the citizens of the country is also from Illinois. You know the very same Illinois that is the only state in the Union that does not allow some sort of concealed carry statute for its law-abiding citizens is also home to the city with the highest murder rate in the country. And yet, the Land of Lincoln was all set to ring in the New Year with a new gun banning law that is more extreme than any yet instituted. Illinois State Senate President John Cullerton (D, Chicago) is going to try and push through a new "assault weapons" ban in the Illinois legislature's upcoming lame duck session that is so extreme that even some antique guns will be banned.
The Illinois State Rifle Association reports that Cullerton's bill will ban pump action shotguns, semiautomatic pistols and rifles, and even antiques rifles like the M-1 Garand, the rifle used by U.S. troops in World War II. The M-1 Garand has only an 8-round, clip-fed ammunition system, yet Cullerton wants to label it as an "assault weapon."
According to the source, the bill would not include any grandfathering and would require Illinois gun owners to turn in their guns to the Illinois State Police, where the weapons will be destroyed.
"If [Cullerton] is successful at doing so," the ISRA says, "nearly every gun you currently own will be banned and will be subject to confiscation by the Illinois State Police."
This bill would be in contravention to both the U.S. Supreme Court's Heller and McDonald decisions, as well as a recent decision by the U.S. Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals that warned the state legislature to correct its illegal ban of concealed carry permits already on the books.
In early December, the Seventh Circuit said that the ban on concealed carry was unconstitutional. The Supreme Court has decided that the amendment confers a right to bear arms for self-defense, which is as important outside the home as inside.
In the wake of the Sandy Hook crimes, Illinois Governor Pat Quinn renewed his call for an "assault weapons" ban. Senate President Cullerton seems poised to help the Governor with that effort.
The few remaining gun manufacturing businesses in Illinois are considering a move to other states; if that happens, hundreds more jobs will be lost to Illinois, a state already in the top ten of highest unemployment rates in the country. One such company has already left the state for Iowa, taking 24 jobs with it.

FEINSTEIN Wants Our Guns - First She Must Give Up Hers! |
So it is perfectly ok for the US government to put in place "Fast & Furious" and distribute assault rifles to be put in the hands of Mexican cartels to be used against Americans, but it is not ok for Americans to own non-assault rifles which are registered with the owners name and address with a background check! I see something wrong with this picture!

Taking Our Guns Away will Do What For Whom?

On Thursday, May 27, 1999, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado,
spoke to the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Crime. They were holding hearings on pending legislation. What he said to those committee members we believe was very truthful as this website is against "gun control" as a means of removing the Second Amendment rights of all Americans away from them.
What Darrell Scott said that day needs to be repeated with the outcry from the Progressives after the Sandy Hook shooting to once again remove Americans guns from them. Everyone needs to realize it is the evil within each person of which allows them to let that evil go unchecked and then decide to use a gun, knife, rope, bomb or whatever weapon is available to them to harm another human being. Following is a portion of the transcript:
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.
"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.
"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.
"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!
My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"
This website also acknowledges that Ms. Byrl Phillips-Taylor also spoke that day at the hearings speaking in favor of gun control of which this website does not support. Her son Scott, bound for Virginia Tech, was lured into the woods by a co-worker at a summer job and shot six times with an AK-47 that was taken from an unlocked storage shed.
Darrell Scott is correct - what this country does need is GOD!
spoke to the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Crime.
But then it is not assault rifles that Americans own - this government and the United Nations just do not want Americans to have guns of any kind inn their hands.

Clinton Wants $60M To Put Cops In the Schools!
![]() But as a country we have no money! Why not use our military who they are wanting to let out early - rather than civilian cops! Another payback to the Unions? http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2012/12/21/Flashback-Clinton-Cops-in-Schools |
Senate Dem's Keep Secrets!
![]() Sidwell Friends School in Washington, DC where Obama's daughters attend has 11 security officers and is seeking to hire a new police officer as we speak. If you dismiss this by saying, “Of course they have armed guards — they get Secret Service protection,” then you’ve missed the larger point.
The larger point is that this is standard operating procedure for this school - period. Additionally, this is the reason people like NBC’s David Gregory send their kids to Sidwell, they know their kids will be protected from the carnage that befell kids at a school where armed guards weren’t used (and weren’t even allowed). |
