It is a proud privilege to be a soldier - a good soldier with discipline, pride in his unit and his country, a high sense of duty and obligation to comrades and his superiors, and a self confidence
born of demonstrated ability." - George S. Patton, Jr.
"Courage is rightly esteemed the first of human qualities, because it is the quality that guarantees all other." - Sir Winston S. Churchill
Recently America went through a period of a "shut down" because Congress couldn't agree on a balanced budget.
During the shut down, the privately funded WWII Memorial, was shut down to visitors while the government chose to hire guards to keep Veterans out when there is normally no one there.
Top Military officials over the past 2 years have been systematically removed of their positions for various reasons.
Having recently acquired my aunt's WWII scrapbook of all her and her friends friends who went off to war, I decided to start this page. In the added tabs you will find pictures and information regarding many of those soldiers. I am trying to find members of their families to give these pictures to them - some of which they may not have.
War is ugly - no matter what the reason or where it is fought. But the men and women who lay down their lives to protect this country and the people in it deserve all the glory and care that we can provide for them. We owe them - today, tomorrow and all days following! Not just Veterans Day - but every day!

Recently I was given my aunt's picture scrapbook from the years 1940 - 1945 of which had pictures of my father's and her friends who went off to war. I grew up knowing some of these men and I am posting those pictures here in the hopes that a member of their family will see them and I will be more than glad to send you the originals. I know that all of them probably have found a place with the Lord, and I want to give them honor for their service - I just couldn't throw them away! Since our family is from Toledo, Ohio I would guess these men were from Ohio, Michigan or Indiana. [email protected]
