Preferring to construe the Constitution in an unnatural and militaristic fashion, Congress had refused the admission of Senators and Representatives from eleven of the 36 states then in the Union.81 Rather than obeying their constitutional duties to preserve that document and the Union which framed it, Congress chose to take advantage of this disenfranchisement and enacted a Federal Department of Education 1866. This political reconstruction act was a clear congressional usurpation of jurisdiction with respect to educational matters, at the expense of the Union.

Hidden Influence: The Rise of Collectivism is the first film in a 3 part saga. Cultural Marxism and The Frankfurt School Series
Since Marxist revolution was so obviously desirable to the Frankfurt Intellectuals, they developed a theory in which the failure of revolution could be attributed to psychopathology in the family. As reviewed here, the epitome of psychological health was the "genuine liberal" — a radical individualist who is completely detached from all ingroups, including race and family. White people who rejected their family as role models were analyzed as psychologically healthy, while those who had positive views of their parents were analyzed as psychologically inadequate. Such a view is obviously subversive of traditional values, since competent parents transmit their religious and cultural values to their children, and at the time of the study, many of these competent White parents had a sense of White racial identity which they were transmitting to their children. The Frankfurt School was essentially claiming that White families who successfully transmitted their ethnocentric attitudes to their children were pathological — a view for which there isn't a shred of evidence. (Needless to say, the successful transmission of Jewish identity to Jewish children was not considered a pathology.) A major part of the intellectual ammunition for this assault on the people and culture of the West derived originally from Erich Fromm whose association with the Frankfurt School dates from 1930. CFR "U.S. Education Reform & National Security" Report
Patricia Levesque who is Jeb Bush's top Education Policy Advisor, runs the state-focused Foundation for Florida's Future and the national Foundation for Excellence in Education of which both were created by former Gov. Jeb Bush. Levesque and Bush have successfully pushed the Common Core curriculum standards, school choice and data-driven school and teacher assessments. Levesque served as Bush's deputy chief of staff while he was governor; before that, she spent six years as a key staffer in the Florida House. She is married to George Levesque, general counsel to the Florida Senate.
Levesque stated in regard to the CFR report below “Human capital will determine power in the current century, and the failure to produce that capital will undermine America’s security. Large, under educated swaths of the population damage the ability of the United States to physically defend itself, protect its secure information, conduct diplomacy, and grow its economy.”
In contrast she along with Jeb Bush and their cronies gave our children an education system to "dumb them down" and most parents in this country resent our children being called "human capital". The money people like to refer to our children by that title in referring to the money they will gain by "using" our children.
